Greetings and Welcome to my stories. I write using the characters and storyline started by the Sookie Stackhouse Southern Mysteries novels.
I am a storyteller first and a writer second. Since the time I was little I have collected and recounted stories of the world around me. I have told stories in all kinds of places: stories of love lost and hope found; the magic in every day things and the power of determination. It is in the characters of Sookie and Eric that I find fertile ground. Their lives and those around them mirror the themes I see in our own lives: ambition, pride, love, yearning. Feel free to pull up a tree stump and listen at my fire. I’ll always have a cup of coffee ready.
Storytelling is a sharing activity. Always happy to hear your opinion or have you share a story in return. Leave a reply and you’ll hear back from me unless I’m traveling (and collecting)….
My Team
If a writer is fortunate, they meet people along the way who are willing to help by lending their considerable talents. I am a most fortunate writer.
My Editor (Beta): A beta reader is a person who takes time and care to catch all the mistakes – both grammatical and content – that the writer (me), in her enthusiasm, glossed over.
Ms Buffy: A legend among us, Ms Buffy is a professional editor in her other life. Still, she finds the time to mentor me and a number of other authors in this fandom. I depend on her sharp eye and wry sense of humor more than I can say.
I would also like to acknowledge Breathesgirl, who started me on my writing path and is responsible for the Bill Compton novel within the novel in Far Reach.
Our Interpretive Artists: A ‘banner’ is a work of art that allows the reader (and this writer) to visualize the characters on the page. Really great images set the tone through their use of images and colors.
Gyllene: A gifted writer in her own right, Gyllene is also a talented artist. It is her work that graces the header of this website. There is something lyrical in her composition and choice of colors. It captures the spirit of romance for me.
You will also find artwork graciously donated by Sephrenia and American Android.
The Stuff I Need to Say:
Disclaimer: I claim no ownership of any but the original characters and the original story plots and devices.

It seems there isn’t no comment box on the last chapter of “The Far Reach”.
Can you please fix it?
Thanks.

I truly enjoyed the all human wedding version. I don’t know if what you describe is a typical American wedding (and more specifically a Southern one), but in any case I had no clue at all as a foreigner … I was siding with Eric on this, discovering every aspects and rituals, and could easily understand his panic attacks and incomprehension. All things considered, he reacted quite well as a vampire … I know I would have lose it at a certain point !! Of course Pam would be able to adapt and enjoy the human festivities, that came as no surprise at all : first she is a big spender, second she likes to “tease” her maker.
I understand perfectly well how important it was for Sookie to have a traditional human wedding at this stage of her life. But I also do believe that, as time goes by, she’ll become less human and more fay/sup. Maybe your next story will go there and explore her shift in mind ? Lots of challenges ahead … Bon courage !!

Wouldn’t say this was a typical American wedding, although there are parts… many people here continue to marry in churches followed by a reception. For others, a second wedding is a less formal affair. There are as many variations as there are differences in people – so that’s saying a lot!
Of course you are right. Sookie will change as she ages and spends more time in a supernatural world. She will hold onto her human life for a while, but what will she do when her friends age and she remains ageless? It is inevitable that time will solve her confusion about the world she chooses.
The outstanding question is children. The nature of those children will dictate in many ways the direction she takes,

I am thrilled to find you on WordPress. Nice and easy to read. I have been re-reading your stories and am finally to the weddings. They are so much fun. But holy smokes, I am terrified for the Louisiana crew in A Distant Horizon. What in the world is going on? After re-reading I found I had overlooked clues you had left. Wondered about Meg, and find myself thinking about this at the oddest times. Is New York really so clever to set all this up? This is the biggest story. I find myself feeling selfish hoping for a new chapter almost daily. Thank you so much. Yours, Margaret

New York is clever, not quite that much of a spider web weaver. Some part will truly be placed at his doorstep, but some part will be his taking advantage of situations.

Eric sent me to tell you that he loves your brain. And not in a yucky Hannibal Kind of way😉
Even if you never write another word, what you have already written is blood. I mean gold! Maybe I should stop listening to Eric rant 😋
I may not review much, cos RL kicks my butt! But you do this for free and deserve an Eric leer. You are brilliant!

Hope you and yours are well and happy. Have missed your amazing writing and interesting real life shares. Fall is upon us now and my favorite season is arriving. My husband and I are headed to Skyline Drive next weekend for a couple of days. It’s a bit early for fall leaf color, but it will still be beautiful. Take care.
